Good midday to you'all. Thanks to the many of you who came out to help, gave up your kids for a couple extra hours or brought Popsicle Racers of your own. Our second event of the year was outstanding. Sixty-five kids FINISHED their races and many more gave a valiant effort.

Saturday 9/6/14, Central Kentucky Run for the Gold, E'town Sports Complex - we will be taking all of our eligible varsity and JV runners to compete in the HS races. I should've done a better job communicating that this weekend's race is not for the middle school runners even though they have middle school races. Middle schoolers will get to race here next Tuesday in a real meet! Also, I attached the race flyer so that you'all would have start times and directions. The fees are handled by TNHSXC - sorry for any confusion.

Travel - athletes and their families are welcome to go straight to the E'town Sports complex on Saturday. Make sure every runner is on site no less than one hour before their race. Anyone wishing to caravan or needing rides need to meet here at the TNHS fieldhouse at 5:15 ready to leave by 5:30.
Uniforms - they will be ready either by practice time tomorrow or, at the latest, by the meet. The rest of the spiritwear will be done later next week. We will be in new uniforms this weekend!
That's all for now. Next week we have a busy one with our first home meet - The Weeknight Warfare (10 schools attending) and next Saturday's Iron Horse Festival 5k which we put on.
It's a busy, yet my favorite, time of year.
