The highlighted results are all new as of this past XC season or one of the first two track meets.  Many more will fall once the E'town All-comers results from last night get posted.  TNHS Track is on the move.  One week off from competition leading into the Bardstown All-comers meet - Thursday, March 27th.

TNHS Track 3-19-14

​Good Wednesday evening TNHS Track family.  Our young team saw more great action last night at the aptly named Ice Breaker Relays (although was actually only 50 degrees).  Too many terrific results to list, but the girls and guys teams both posted many more points than they did over the weekend and TNHS saw a first Pentathete - kudos Nathan.  Girls knocked down some solid times at every distance and both sprint relays.  Those relays are really taking shape, but watch it - there are many more fast girls that will be gunning for those "A" relay spots.  We're getting competitive!  The fellas also netted some key results in the opens as well as 4x1,2,and8.  Jarrett popped off a 5:05 1600 in his first open mile of the year - not too shabby.  Well, I went and listed a bunch of them anyway.

Tomorrow we are headed to the E'town All-comers.  Bus will leave TNHS at 4 or as soon thereafter a bus arrives.  Similar schedule to last night in the coaches meeting at 5, field then running at 5:15 and 5:30 respectively.  The event order will be the same, except that they will run a 3200 (punishment for any children who behave badly on the bus!) and I would expect to be wrapping up around 9 - 9:30 again.  That will put us back to campus 10 - 10:30 if we're lucky.  

I left my line up sheet in the fieldhouse this evening so I cannot list the individuals going, but they know who they are.  The event line-up will also closely resemble last nights, and I'll have 30 printed this time.  

SPECIAL NOTE!!! WE ARE NOT RUNNING AT LARUE NEXT TUESDAY!!!  
NOTHING THIS WEEKEND - WE WILL GO BARDSTOWN NEXT THURSDAY,

Courage

Fantastic first day out for the TNHS Track and Field squad. Lots of firsts. All relays made successful exchanges and ran some great legs. Distance medley top 5. Solid first throws for Jake. Great 3k and 1k performances. 17+ feet in long jump for Isaiah and it was his first trip down the runway in a year (and he was a foot short of the board!). Girls rocked all the relays and Kevin took 4th in high jump clearing 5'8" (had never seen high jump before). Did I mention the meet was huge with top caliber teams?  C-O-U-R-A-G-E!

3-14-14 Headed to the Bruin Relays

Good evening - ever growing Track and Field family.  Here's the run down for tomorrow's meet at Central Hardin.  First off, it's all about having fun and learning while we do it.  These early season meets are very low key and give the kids lots of opportunities to run different distances and just to get a feel for how track works. 

​Be at TNHS athletics fieldhouse by 10:45 at the latest.
